Love these long trucks. Utterly impractical in the city, but damn if you can’t haul the whole family plus a week’s worth of stuff in the bed.

He builds houses and tows all sorts of stuff. Parking anywhere normal seems to be a problem

It makes my truck look childish

I once owned a 92 F-350 (7.3 IDI diesel, non-turbo) , crew cab/long bed/4X4. Compared to modern trucks of that wheelbase, the 4x4 front end of that time period dramatically limited steering angle. Lack of steering angle combined with that wheelbase meant the turning radius might as well have been a 1/4 mile. Pulling into a single space with cars on either side in a normal parking lot was out of the question.

It just takes good planning...I had a Chevy 3500 crew cab long bed dually for a bit. You literally could not pull into a parking spot and be straight, you had to back in.
